A Country Drive

It’s pouring with rain today. It has been for days and we’ve got more of the same expected for the foreseeable future. That coupled with a serious case of the #sundayscaries is making it really hard for me to get out of bed. I’m really trying to cheer myself up though. So I thought I’d share a photo I took during a recent long drive in the country.

The sky was perfectly blue with just enough wispy clouds to make me smile. Like the barn. Seriously, have you ever seen anything so adorable?

I hope you’re having a good day wherever you are. Happy Sunday!

  1. Very enjoyable Sunday here. Lunch at a wonderful Thai restaurant that’s only 20 minutes away, and then an outing to Sarlat for the (overly-long but very good) new Bond film. Sunny day too. As for barns, yours really is quite cute. My favourite barn country, I think, is the Amish area of Pennsylvania.

      1. Absolutely, Marla. We just learn to avoid Sarlat, if possible, in July and August. June is pretty busy too, but not as crazy. Other months are just fine.

      2. I was there during September 2018 and it was mayhem compared to other parts of the region. It almost felt like we were no longer in France with all of the English speaking around us. 🤭
