Let’s go back to one of the most ridiculously over the top places that I’ve ever had the pleasure of visiting. I’ve covered Palais Garnier over several posts and they can be found here and here (and here and here and here and here and here).
Oh wait!
I think it’s pretty obvious that I’m an huge fan. Take your pick and click a link to see why!
Bonne journée!

Yes, the Palais Garnier is so beautiful. I had tickets for a ballet evening in April (by the Norwegian choreographer Alan Lucien Øyen) and for an opera in July (Mozart’s Così fan tutte), but they have both been cancelled because of the pandemic.

Damn pandemic! I’m so sorry to hear this. Will both performances be scheduled for you?

Maybe next year, but they haven’t announced any dates so far. I also had three tickets for opera performances at the Opéra Bastille (Massenet’s Manon, Verdi’s Rigoletto and Puccini’s La Bohème) but these of course have also been cancelled.

UGH. I’m so sorry to hear that. Hopefully you’ll have the opportunity to enjoy them in future.

I’ve never been to Palais Garnier. We walked by it many times while exploring Paris but simply run out of the time. It’s still on my travel wish list 😀 Aiva

I had been past it many times and it was never high on my list of places to visit (there’s never enough time is there?). But once I finally visited I was shocked. Once you make it there I think you’ll feel the same. 🙂
