G is for Glass. Stained glass. Said like a certain famous fictional spy who likes his favourite beverage shaken, not stirred.
Yes, that’s right. In this installment of my Alphabet series, we’re headed to Reims to visit Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Reims.
The stained glass is a mix of historic and modern. I’m no expert, and really just enjoyed the pretty colours. Here’s a small sampling of the glass you will find at Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Reims.

The Cathedral is steeped in rich history and definitely worth a visit if you’re in the area. And sampling bubbly at any of the nearby Champagne houses is enough of a reason to visit Reims (if you’re looking for an excuse). Although it’s probably best that you drink Champagne after visiting the Cathedral. Ahem.
Have you been to Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Reims? If so, let me know what you thought of the stained glass in the comment section below.
Bonne journée!
Marla

I have never been to France. I do like stained glass especially when back light. (is that spelled right?, feels wrong.) anywho, when I lived in Ladner our front door was glass, and it faced east. In the morning the living room was filled with rainbows. If I ever build a house I will put in a skylight with prismed glass so the house has rainbows during the day.
