Street Art – New Westminster

It’s Friday! After another trying week, I’d like to share what I believe is the perfect spirit lifter to take us into the weekend.

It’s bright, colourful and happy – just what the doctor ordered (along with social distancing and washing our hands, of course).

I discovered this mural accidentally, but fell in love with it immediately.

Partly because it’s obviously lovely, but also because it reminds me of our first ever office dog, Sammy. Our (d)OG, if you will.

Can you see the resemblance?

Sammy was a kind soul with a mischievous streak and everyone at the office loved him.

Excited shouts of, “Sammy!”, echoed throughout the building whenever he came in. His happiness was contagious.

Sadly Sammy is no longer with us, but he will always be remembered for his gorgeous smile and sweet demeanor.
