Thursday Doors – Alcatraz

This week’s door was discovered at Alcatraz, the infamous island prison located off of the Californian Coast. Once home to notorious criminals, the property today is an easy and interesting day trip from San Francisco.

The door I’m sharing today is puzzling to me. See it up top just underneath the point of the roof? That’s a long jump down, so I’m assuming that there was once a balcony or maybe a staircase leading down to the landing below. I really don’t know, but I love finding these doors to nowhere.

Bonne journée!
